IHRIM was established in 1948, primarily as an educational body. Its objectives, then as now, were to provide qualifications at different levels as well as career and professional assistance for members. IHRIM members are now working in the fields of health records, information management, clinical coding and information governance.

Registrations for the National Clinical Coding Qualification to be held in March 2010 closed on 31st December 2009. Please note that late registrations will not be accepted.
The closing date for registrations for the Foundation, Certificate and Diploma exams to be held in May is 31st January 2010. Please note that late registrations will not be accepted.
